To the editor:
All citizens should know that they have 30 days from the publication date of the intent to build a confined feeding factory to submit written comments to Jay County/Portland Building and Planning.
The building department has been putting 20 days in the half-mile letter to neighbors and in the public notice.
It is 30 days from the date of publication. Article 2, sec. 216.1, par.4 of the Jay County Zoning Ordinance (page 2-19).
