Paul L. Cavanaugh, 91, Portland, died Sunday at Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Portland.
Born in Muncie to Louis and Mary (Bridgewater) Cavanaugh, he was married to Mildred Conner on Feb. 6, 1946, and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2013.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, he had worked for Sears and Roebuck, Ohio Valley Gas, Standard Oil, Baker Grain, Portland Industrial Products, Preferred Family Physicians and Jay County Hospital.
Memberships include Portland Lions Club, Jay Lodge No. 87, Scottish Rite Shrine, American Legion and Jay County Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Diana K. Goodman, Portland; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Asbury United Methodist Church, followed by services at noon with Pastor Tim Dilley and Tom Lightle officiating.
Burial will be in Green Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church Building Fund, Hospice at Persimmon Ridge, Jay Lodge No. 87, American Legion Post No. 211 or Portland Lions Club.
