Gospel Jamboree is Sunday
Church roundup
The 11th Annual Bluegrass Gospel Jamboree will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Union Chapel Church of the Nazarene.
Common Ground and Water In2 Wine will be performing. There will also be all-you-can-eat soup beans, dessert and drinks.
Bring lawn chairs. The church is located on county road 900 North on the Jay-Wells Co. line.
In concert
Roy Tremble will perform a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Collett Church of the Nazarene. He is a former member of The Cathedrals, which won four Dove Awards and had three Grammy nominations while Tremble was with the group.
The church is located one mile west of U.S. 27 on county road 450 South. For more information, call (260) 729-2621.

Asbury United Methodist Church will have its chapel service at 8 a.m. Sunday, with Sunday School at 9 a.m. and the worship service in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. The church is located at 204 E. Arch St. in Portland.
Biblical drama
Wade and Jennifer Burleigh of First Century Ministries will take visitors on a trip back to the days of Christ, including a craftsman shop and costumes.
Times will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday at Praise Chapel Church of God. The church is located 2 ½ miles east of U.S. 27 on the Jay-Randolph county line.
The Burleigh’s will also present their drama at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 14 and 7 p.m. Sept. 15, 16 and 17.

Revival
In celebration of its 150 years, Gilead Church will host revival services on Sept. 12, 13 and 14 with speaker John Myers and music by the Christianaires. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Movie and cook-out
Church of God of Prophecy, 797 N. Creagor Ave. in Portland, will show the movie “God’s Not Dead” at 10 a.m. on Sept. 14. A carry-in cook-out will follow, with the meat provided. For more information, call (260) 766-9334.

Pastor Hillary Wafula Wangira, a native of Uganda, will speak at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at Grace Bible Church in Berne. She helps care for more than 300 orphaned children at Bright Hope Orphanage and is also a trainer with International Training and Equipping Ministries, both in Uganda.

Free meal
Bread of Life Community Family Meal will be served Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 204 E. Arch St., in Portland. Everyone is welcome to share a meal and conversation. The meal this week will be prepared and served by Fellowship Baptist Church.
