Martha Giger

Martha L. Giger, 86, rural Redkey, died Sunday at her home.
Born in Hartford City to Donald and Golie Fern (Harrison) Owens, she was a 1945 graduate of Hartford City High School.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, William F. Giger.
She was employed at All State Insurance Company and was a member of Dunkirk American Legion Auxiliary No. 227 and Indiana Farm Bureau Co-Op.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three nieces; two nephews; a sister-in-law, Hope Giger, Portland; great-nieces and great-nephews; and her caregivers Matt Johnson, Betty Jones and Sarah Coleman.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at MJS Mortuaries-Dunkirk Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Lex officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to VFW Post No. 7081 in Dunkirk or State of the Heart Hospice.
