Services for Bennie S. Garringer, 68, Saratoga, were held today at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. He died Sept. 1 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.
Born in Randolph County to Merrit C. and Vera L. (Tucker) Garringer, he is survived by his wife of 48 years Shirley (Holster) Garringer.
A veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam, he retired from Maul Technology in Winchester.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Stacey Byers (husband: Timothy), Saratoga; two sisters, Betty Baker, Ridgeville, and Bonnie Shaneyfelt, Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.
