Martha Pearl Garrett Denney, 84, a native of Pennville, died Wednesday at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Mo.
Born in Ohio, to Clara (Little) Stultz, she was adopted by Robert Stultz and was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Garrett and her second husband Charles “Pap” Denney.
After moving to Arkansas in 1969, she and Charles owned and operated Denney’s Lazy Woods Motel and Café.
Surviving are three sons, David Garrett, Branson, Bob Garrett, Lead Hill, Ark., and Ron Denney (wife: Bobbie), Lawrenceburg; a daughter, Mona Mae Conner, Branson; three sisters, Wanda McEwen and Phyllis Ann Ford, both of Pennville, and Betty Jo Armstrong, Hartford City; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Pennville.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
