Intersection collision
A Redkey woman and Dunkirk man were involved in an accident Friday evening in Richland Township.
Sarah Current, 61, 9883 W. 700 South, Redkey, told Jay County Sheriff’s Office she was traveling east on county road 600 South when she came to a stop at the intersection of county road 1150 West. She said she looked in both directions and continued into the intersection, where her 2011 Ford Fusion collided with a Volvo, driven by Jeremy Bumbalough, 37, 4913 South Arlington Avenue, Dunkirk.
Current said she did not see Bumbalough’s car. Bumbalough said he tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to do so.
Damage in the 7:20 p.m. accident was estimated to be between $1,000 and $2,500.

Furnace stolen
A Muncie man reported a theft to Portland Police Sunday.
Joseph Fakhr, 702 Nichols Avenue, Muncie, told police the furnace was stolen from a rental property he owns at 439 S. Meridian St., Portland.
The theft was reported at 6:43 p.m.
