Breaking: Jay drops ACAC opener
JCHS football
MONROE — The Jay County High School football team dropped its Allen County Athletic Conference opener Friday with a 48-12 loss to the host Adams Central Flying Jets.
The game was delayed for more than 20 minutes in the first quarter because of an injury to Adams Central leading rusher Carter Sharp. But the Flying Jets (1-3, 1-1 ACAC) overcame his departure to take a 21-0 lead into the half.
Jay County (1-3, 0-1 ACAC) got on the board after the break, but was unable to slow down the home team.
