Breaking: Patriots rout Starfires, 12-0

BERNE — Six different Patriots scored a goal Saturday as the Jay County girls soccer team routed South Adams, 12-0.
Gabbie Mann led the offensive barrage with four goals, including three in the first half, as the Patriots built a 7-0 lead after 40 minutes.
Catherine Dunn also added a hat trick for the Patriots (3-3, 3-1 Allen County Athletic Conference). Sophie Bader tallied two goals, and Carmen Lopez scored her first goal of the season just 22 seconds into the contest.
Freshmen Alex Bader, Sophie’s younger sister, and Lucy Laux found twine in the second half for their first career goals.
