Max Heiss, 81, Daleville, died Wednesday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in Farmland to Maurice and Mabel (Penrey) Heiss, he was a 1952 graduate of Portland High School.
Surviving is his wife Janice (Feller) Heiss.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he retired from the city of Anderson after 20 years of service and was a member of the American Legion of Chesterfield.
A celebration of life service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Ballard & Sons, 8212 S. Walnut St., Daleville, with Pastor J. Mark Freeman officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services.
