Friends of the Arts offer thanks

To the editor:
The Fort Recovery Friends of the Arts thanks everyone who made our past season a success.
Committee members have worked extra hard this year to restore Van Trees Park and the Hein Amphitheatre to the outstanding venue we are all so proud of. Special thanks to the following Fort Recovery citizens and businesses for their part in this project: Fort Recovery Lumber Co. (materials at cost), Kaup Pharmacy (work space), B & D Construction (scissor lift), Dan Brunswick (labor), Don Lennartz (marquee sign), Sons of the American Legion (painting), Chuck Kaiser (masonry), Don Lennartz, Buzz Hall, Louie Diller, Cy Muhlenkamp, Irene Stone and Sarah Rohrer (painting) and Chuck Rohrer, Connor Rammel and the Fort Recovery FFA (deck removal and reseeding).
Thanks to committee member Ken Romer for heading up this massive project. It was only through teamwork, community pride and a very generous financial gift from a local citizen that we were able to get this done.
We extend an extra special thanks to the Ohio Arts Council, which helped fund our summer program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment. Thanks to Rep. Jim Buchy and Sen. Keith Faber for supporting the Ohio Arts Council and arts programs throughout our district by continued funding of groups like the Ohio Arts Council.
Our major business sponsors made a huge difference in the quality of our program. Thanks to Reynolds & Reynolds, St. Henry Tile Co., Inc., Stage Right Productions, Fort Recovery Industries, Inc., The Fort Recovery VFW Post #6615, JR Manufacturing, Kaup Pharmacy, Wabash Communications, Mercer Health, Psi Iota Xi Philanthropic Organization, Cooper Farms, Fort Recovery Lumber, Fort Recovery Insurance, Operation Freedom Support, Wendel Poultry Service and LCS Inc.
We look forward to planning our 24th season, and as always, thank the citizens of Fort Recovery and the surrounding areas for supporting the concert series. Without great arts supporters, these wonderful musicians would have no one to perform for.
