Last week at Adams Central: Jay County had difficulty moving the football in its first-ever ACAC contest, but when it finally gained yardage it was too late. Adams Central rushed for 488 yards, racing out to a 21-0 lead in the first half, only to add 27 more points after halftime in a 48-12 rout of Jay County. The Patriots were held to 17 yards of total offense in the first half, before finally breaking through for 163 in the final 24 minutes.
Season leaders: Passing — Nick Clemens 4-of-11 for 12 yards and two interceptions. Rushing — Drew Huffman - 57 carries for 388 yards and two touchdowns. Receiving — Aaron Neal - one reception for five yards. Defense — Jon Blankenship - 21 tackles, Hunter Prescott - eight tackles for loss.

Conference: Allen County Athletic Conference
Last week vs. Woodlan: Bluffton hung with the Woodlan Warriors for the first 24 minutes, entering halftime trailing 21-20. But Woodlan took over in the second half, scoring 22 points in the fourth quarter for a 49-22 ACAC victory. Bluffton’s Jacob Wenger completed 17 passes for 264 yards and three scores in the loss.
Season leaders: Passing — Jacob Wenger - 53-of-96 for 751 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Rushing — D’wayne Eskridge - 74 carries for 590 yards and six touchdowns. Receiving — Trae Jojola - 10 receptions for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Defense — Matt Hilton - 29 tackles, five tackles for loss.
Game notes: This is the third meeting all-time between the Tigers and Patriots, and the first in more than three decades. Jay County has won both of the previous meetings, 7-0 in 1975 and 40-28 in 1981 ... Bluffton has not had a winning season since 2003 when it went 6-5, but the Tigers were .500 (5-5) in 2012 ... The Patriots are 1-3 for the first time since 2010, which is also the last time it started the season 1-4.
