Electrician class offered

A preparation course for the journeyman electrician exam is going to be offered by John Jay Center for Learning, beginning next week.
The class will meet at John Jay Center from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday evenings for nine weeks, beginning Thursday, Sept. 25.
This is the first of three nine-week sections of the course. Each segment costs $225, which includes the cost of the textbook.
The class is for electricians already licensed by labor and industries with a minimum of two to four years of experience in the field. Experience is required in order to be eligible to take the examination.
The focus will be on preparing participants for both the Indiana or Ohio state licensing examinations. Doug Tipton will be the instructor.
