Charles Shrack

Charles Erwin Shrack, 77, rural Redkey, died Thursday at his home.
Born in Redkey to Lucile (Wise) and Denzel E. Shrack, he was a 1955 graduate of Redkey High School. He married Ginger Kay (Hicks) Shrack Oct. 6, 1967, at Portland Church of the Nazarene.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class during the Vietnam War era. He was employed as a storeroom manager at Kerr Glass Dunkirk for 37 years, and was a member of Redkey Alumni and Dunkirk American Legion Post 227. He was a member of Redkey Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Rose Onstott (husband: Don), Milton, and Michelle Cassel, Hartford City; one son, Monte Shrack (wife: Cindy), Portland; two sisters, Betty Lou Midlam (husband: Richard) and Jean Rahe, both of Albany; two brothers, William Shrack, Pennville, and Henry Shrack (wife: Amy), Greentown; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Redkey Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Rob Faris officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel.
Memorials may be sent to the Redkey Church of the Nazarene Building Fund.
