C3 event will be at John Jay

The John Jay Center for Learning will host the fourth annual C3-College-Career-Connect event from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 for students and parents to connect with college representatives and learn more about college, careers and financial aid opportunities.
Representatives from area universities, colleges and technical schools will answer questions, The Portland Foundation will provide scholarship information and area banks will discuss loan options.
Workshops for 21st Century Scholar students, to complete their senior affirmations, will be at 5, 6 and 7 p.m.
There will be prizes and refreshments. For more information, call Carolyn at (260) 729-5525 ext. 223.
Also the inaugural C-3-College-Career-Connect Video Contest is for recent Jay County High School graduates to share their experiences after high school in a video.

Mammo night
Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur will give mammograms from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 for anyone who has never had a mammogram or hasn’t had one recently.
There will be mini chair massages and hand treatments. For more information, call Julie at (260) 724-2145 ext. 1630 or schedule an appointment at ext. 1507.
