Alex Abbott recorded another hat trick as the Jay County High School boys soccer team built a 4-1 lead Saturday and then held on to defeat the visiting Yorktown Tigers 4-3.
Abbott, a senior who leads JCHS with 15 goals, found the net on a pair of breakaways and a free kick from about 20 yards out. He assisted on the Patriots’ other score when he sent a corner kick in from the right side and Zach Chaney connected on a header that went just below the crossbar.
