Timmy “Tim” Bennett, 46, Portland, died Friday at Jay County Hospital.
He and his wife were directors of the Jayland Homeless Shelter, and he was employed at Walmart in Portland.
Born in Bluffton, he was the son of William and Sylvia (Brown) Bennett. He was married on Oct. 16, 2010 to Stacy Mast, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Sylvia Keller, Ossian; a son, Holden Bennett, Ossian; a daughter, Kiah Bennett, Ossian; two brothers, John Bennett and Brian Bennett, both of Bluffton; and a twin sister, Teresa Beeks (husband: Jeremy), Bluffton.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Center Cemetery, west of Portland, with Pastor Tim Dilley officiating. Arrangements are by Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland.
