Thanks for cleaning
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
On behalf of the town board of Redkey, we would like to say thank you to those residents who have complied with the clean-up of their properties. This should have been done twenty-five years ago, but we have made a good start in our efforts.
This makes for cleaner and safer neighborhoods, as well as to help raise our property values.
We still have a couple months of good weather, so we hope even more will comply.
Our town marshal has been issuing citations to those in violation and will continue until bad weather. The fines and court cost are not cheap, and they are avoidable.
This project is not going away. We will be back in the spring and not stop until we get the town cleaned up. Thanks again for your efforts and support.
