Small group makes impact

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
If you think a small group of people can’t make a difference, you’re wrong.
Jay-Randolph Stand Against Heroin sponsored an auction Dec. 4 with proceeds going to A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope.
Forty-four caring generous buyers and one 50/50 drawing winner who donated all the money back raised $4,214.
That was only possible because of the generous donations made by Portland, Parker City, Farmland, Winchester, Bluffton, Fort Recovery and Coldwater, Ohio, merchants and the great people who donated to support Brianna’s Hope.
My thanks and gratitude to Loy Real Estate & Auction for donating not only its service but also its support and time before and after the auction. If you’ve never tried to organize a auction you have no idea what’s involved, and when I could have panicked they took control. They are a awesome group of people.
I also want to thank the Jay County Fair Board for donating use of the Women’s Building.
Please find it in your heart to support A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope.
You can make a difference.
