Thank you for Reality Store help
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
East Jay and West Jay eighth graders participated in “Reality Store” last Thursday at East Jay.
Reality Store is a financial simulation where students choose careers and make decisions about their budgets and lifestyles. The activity is a fun and effective way for students to learn about personal accounting, financial responsibility and life choices, all while interacting with business people from the community.
On behalf of East Jay and West Jay, we would like to thank the following community volunteers for helping make the event possible. Volunteers include: Jenna Ford, Cathy Pinkerton, Doug Loy, Pam Schemenaur, Beth Beatty, Mark Tillman, Debbie Kummer, Zach Chenoweth, Mel Smitley, Laci Smitley, Kyle Cook, Kay LeMaster, Joanne Smitley, Lin Ellsworth, Steve Arnold, Jon Funk, Kyle Champ, Laurinda Shope, Cindy Denney, Ron Laux, Missy May, Phil Cowan, Teresa Philebaum, Kia Gibson, Kari Guntle, Kristi Betts, Shauna Runkle, Bev Arnold, Lee Newman, Debbie Shreeve, Sharon Newman, Jane Ann Runyon, Jessica Cook, Roger Prescott, Kendra Fennig, Linda Horsman, Stephanie Patterson, Angie Bentz, Debbie Minnis, Butch Gray, Mike Smith, Vicki Delzeith, Amanda May, Michael Brewster, Nathan Springer, Rusty Inman, Vicki Tague, Brooke Weitzel, Carrie DeVoss, Phil Zicht and Ned Stucky.
Students and staff look forward to Reality Store every year, and without the help of these volunteers, it wouldn’t be possible. Thanks for helping make this a successful and meaningful event.
