Geneva Town Council made a variety of reappointments at its end-of-year meeting, and a few positions are filled by new faces.
Jeremy Snow was sworn in as a deputy with the Geneva Police Department, while Ron Rasawehr was sworn in as chief deputy marshal.
Wayne Bickel is new to the redevelopment commission. The other members — Agnes Schoch, Dick Clutter, Jim Timmons, Bill Warren and Landon Patterson (a non-voting member from South Adams School Board) — remain the same.
Council voted to keep its officers the same in 2016, with Clutter serving as president and Timmons as vice president.
The fire chief remains John Patch, with Sam Bisel and Gabe Schwartz as assistant chiefs. Rob Johnson remains the police department’s marshal.
Dave Baumgartner will continue as the town’s attorney, while Sally Burry was appointed deputy clerk again.
Russ Flueckiger, Denise Yoder, Tony Davidson and Lee Flueckiger fill four spots on the park board, with one vacancy for a term expiring in 2019.
Warren will also keep serving on the Adams County Economic Development Corporation board, and Doug Milligan and Jeff Brown will continue with South Adams Trails.
The Geneva Plan Commission remains Scott Wilkins, Dave Henderson, Timmons, Schoch, Clutter, Arlen Mitchel, Andrew Briggs and Jim Fosnaugh. The Adams County Commissioners still need to appoint one member.
Lynn Burry, Kenny Schwartz, Eleanor Morris, Mitchel and Wilkins remain the Geneva Board of Zoning Appeals.
In other business, council:
•Agreed to pay $1,200 for Geneva’s planning assistance agreement with Adams County Plan Commission and $5,653 to Adams County Economic Development Corporation for the county economic development income tax fund service agreement fee.
•Approved calendars for 2016 council meetings and Safety Board/Board of Works meetings, as well as holidays when the town hall will close. Council meetings are at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday each month, and Safety Board/Board of Works meetings are at 7:15 a.m. the fourth Wednesday of each month. All are held at town hall, 411 E. Line St.
•Approved transfers within the general fund and motor vehicle and highway fund so that all items have positive balances at the end of the year. A transfer of $75,000 from wastewater depreciation to the plant’s operating budget was approved for the same reason.
