Pastor makes call for repentence

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
Please allow me to share some scripture.
(Romans 1:21-32)
Because that, when they (mankind) knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the un-corruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things (idolatry). Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature (self) more than the Creator, who is blessed forever Amen. For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against Nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lusts one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet (fitting). And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
(Proverbs 16:25)
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

The mean and hateful things that men are doing to each other today cause us to fear that it may happen to someone we love, or even ourselves. That’s nothing compared to the judgment of God. God’s word is inerrant, infallible and authoritative. No matter how many laws are changed to suit man’s sin, and campaigns launched to sway men’s minds that it is politically incorrect to believe God, there is coming a day when every sin will be rewarded. (Matt 10:28) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
It would not be fair of me to leave out the fact that God will forgive you, and save you from this fate, if you would humble yourself and repent of your personal life of sin. Preachers have been avoiding telling people that hell is real, and that every unrepentant sinner will beyond a shadow of a doubt go there. Time is running out, and the only thing that will help anyone is truth. Preachers need to stop worrying about their offering plate, and start preaching the word of God (Isaiah 55:6,7) Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Every man needs that pardon before he dies. God will not let the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ be shed in vain. You will repent and believe or you will be judged for rejecting him. Eternity is a long time to be punished in hell for rejecting someone who loves you enough to bear your sin on a cross at Calvary. (John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Believe, repent, ask and receive. Then find a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church, and become a part of leading others to Christ before it is too late. You may be able to help your family; mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, children.
