West Jay names honor roll
West Jay Middle School named its honor roll students for the 4th nine-week grading period.
Making the all A honor roll n sixth grade were Abigail Benter, Chloe Campbell, Lillian Clemons, Sophia Fugiett, Demi Grove, Hannah Littler and Grace Morgan.
Sixth graders making the A-B honor roll were Sofia Barcus, Chelsea Blankenship, Logan Brown, Felicia Cooley, Lewis Crump, Samantha Dornberger, Lyric Garringer, Sara Garringer, Travis Garringer, Haley Gillette, Averi Hatzell, Victoria Jackson, Taylor Lowe, Hunter Miller, Xavier Moon, Mackenzie Newsome, James Powers, Jayden Price, Shyla Renner, Makenzie Ring, Kinsey Shannon and Caroline Walter.

Concert series
The free Summer Concert Series continues Saturday at Dunkirk Webster-Depot Park with concerts beginning at 7 p.m.
The Mix Factory, the duo of Craig Selvey and Lora Armstrong will perform Saturday. The two sing songs from the ‘60s to popular hits of today.
John Beatrice Band will play classic rock, oldies, classic and contemporary country music on June 20.
Performing polka, waltz, big band, country rock, bluegrass, Latin ballads and semi-classical music will be the Jay Fox Band on June 27.
Harmony Band will perform on July 11. The group will include patriotic songs and a sprinkling of country.
Boot Hill Band will play classic and southern rock and country on July 18.
The dance band Reminisce will go back to the days of the old fashion sock hop playing rock ‘n roll music from the ‘50s and ‘60s on July 25.
Redkey resident Mike Wright will sing “Oldies, but Goodies” on Aug. 1.
Dan Anderson of Memory Lane will sing a variety of southern gospel and classic country music.
The final performance of the series will feature Spittin’ Image. Twin brothers Blain and Brian Swabb of Greenville, Ohio, will share an evening of music and comedy.
Sponsors of the concert series include the City of Dunkirk, Dunkirk Beautification Committee, The Portland Foundation and individuals.
Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food will be available for purchase and donations will be accepted. Minars IGA Market in Albany donates food items and Miller’s Dunkirk Pantry donates ice.
Dean’s list
Sydney Bost was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. She is the daughter of Jeff and Jerri Bost and the granddaughter of Lorrine Hicks, all of Portland.
Lauren Evans, Portland, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester in the rank of honors at Wright State University Lake Campus in Celina, Ohio.
Tyler Claycomb, Pennville, and Andrew Wood, Portland, were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Anderson University.
