Thank you for a great "Quake"
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Hi, my name is Debbie Shidler.
The Jay County High School class of 2001 and I would like to thank the friends, family, community and local businesses that helped the First Annual Quake Show be a huge success. We were able to raise $900 in one night toward our Legacy 2001 scholarship, which will support local Jay County graduates.
The class of 2001 is truly grateful to the following businesses & individuals: Mayor Randy Geesaman and Portland City Council, Lil Bistro owners Burt Quakenbush and Violet Erlenbush, Bryant Combine and Ryan Davidson, Walmart, AutoZone (834 N Meridian St.), Pizza Hut, Marsh, Steve Barnett and Doug Shidler for judging, Jessica Franks for photos, Franklin Electric, Faith Arbuckle and her family, Anna White and her family, Jesse Erlenbush, Kyle Kunkle, Matthias Steed, Ryan Ray, and Jon and Donna Glassford.
Please look for the Quake Show next year as we plan to hold the car show and corn hole tournament every year. Legacy 2001 is still accepting donations at The Portland Foundation.
Thank you again for supporting the class of 2001 as we remember our classmates who have gone too soon.
Sincerely,
Debbie Shidler and the JCHS class of 2001
