Where are Oxley's rights?
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
This is a rebuttal letter concerning items that were printed from trial of David Oxley on Thursday in The Commercial Review.
David had nowhere to go.
This would have been proven had the accident reconstructionist David paid $8,600 was allowed to testify.
Before the trial, the state gave their witnesses as well as David’s lawyer. The reconstructionist was to testify Thursday at 9:30 a.m. The jury was sent to recess; then the judge brought the man to the witness chair. He was asked what and how his decisions were made plus what he intended to say.
He could prove David was not at fault, but you see the jury was not ever allowed to hear this information because Jay County Prosecutor Wes Schemenaur took one of his power trips (because it was going to hurt his side) and the judge denied the use of the accident reconstructionist.
