Incumbent Democrat Randy Geesaman and Republican Milo Miller Jr. cruised to victories Monday in their respective primary races for mayor of Portland.
Geesaman, who is seeking his second term as mayor, dominated former street and parks department superintendent Jeff Harker, earning more than 76 percent of the vote on 453 ballots cast.
Miller, who served six terms as a county commissioner, ran nearly as strongly in his race against wastewater treatment plant employee Doug Blankenbaker, earning 72 percent of the vote.
