James A. McDowell, 50, Portland, entered a plea of guilty in Jay Superior Court to possession of methamphetamine, a Class D felony. He was sentenced to 18 months in Jay County Jail with 182 days credit for 91 days served, assessed court costs of $168, ordered to pay drug abuse fee of $200.
Chad R. Thompson, 39, Dunkirk, entered a plea of guilty in Jay Superior Court to maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony, and possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. He was sentenced to one year in Jay County Jail with all but 10 days suspended, given six days credit for three days served, assessed court costs of $168, and placed on formal probation for 11 months.
