Thank you for help with benefit
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
We want to say a special thank you to all helpers who made Terry Bye’s benefit on May 9 such a success and all the merchants and all the donations from special people who made it possible.
People and places gave so much of themselves, including Lora at Richards Restaurant, Todd Penrod and The Flower Nook; all the singers who donated their time and talents for a good cause; Karmella VanSkyock, the food service manager at Jay County High School and the school for the use of their facilities; and especially all the donations for the auction and bake sale and Inman Insurance for covering the benefit for us with insurance. And a special big thank you to Mel Smitley for the donation of his time and talent for making the auction such a success.
A simple “thank you” does not cover all we would like to say, but we want you all to know we couldn’t have done this without all the self-sacrifice that was given by all of you.
