Amy Nicholas and Austin Flynn were married in an Oct. 3 ceremony at Valley Lo Country Club in Glenview, Illinois, with the Rev. Nicolle Grasse receiving the couple’s vows.
Amy was given in marriage by her father Jim Nicholas and wore a long strapless champagne colored gown with a sweetheart neckline and an ivory lace overlay.
She carried a bouquet of dark purple calla lilies, white, cream and green roses, button pom flowers and ferns.
Colleen Henegan of Austin, Texas, was the maid of honor and bridesmaids were Katie McKendrick, Chicago, Carmen Hamper, Jefferson, Ohio, and Katie Devine, Evansville. They wore one strap long dark purple dresses with a silver brooch and carried bouquets identical to the bride.
The best man was Josh Eal of Indianapolis, and groomsmen were Nathaniel Fodrea, Redkey, Bryan Partner, Oxford, Ohio, and Jason Kwon, Indianapolis.
Flower girls were Olivia Rowles, Portland, and Ella Hinds, Upland, and ring bearers were Gabe Rowles, Portland, and Eli Hinds, Upland.
A reception followed the ceremony at the country club. The couple is planning a wedding trip to Disney and Universal World Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida, during Thanksgiving.
Amy is the daughter of Jim and Linda Nicholas, Arlington Heights, Illinois. She graduated cum laude with a degree in English from Butler University and is an animal care and control senior kennel technician.
Austin is the son of Steve and Carlotta Flynn, Redkey. He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in English from Wabash College, earned a master’s degree in English from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and worked on his PHD at Ohio University. He is an English teacher at Herron High School in Indianapolis.
The couple resides in Indianapolis.
