Thank you for strong blitz

To the editor:
The small business telephone blitz for United Way of Jay County was held during the last week of October.
The blitz event saw volunteers on the telephone reaching out to small business owners in Jay County. Blitzing volunteers deserve special recognition, and if you heard one last week or saw one out and about visiting a small business in your neighborhood, or perhaps making a follow-up call or visit this month, please thank them for their service to the community.
During the annual blitz, Jay County small business owners have always demonstrated that their hearts are very giving. The response last year was wonderful and we could not thank everyone enough for their generosity.
If you missed the blitz this year, no need to fear, your donation will be welcomed at any time.
Special thanks to our business owners who have already donated to United Way and helped the small business division along on our way to an $18,000 goal.          
There are many charitable organizations that would not be able to provide the necessary services if it were not for your generous donations to the United Way.
