Portland Board of Works selected Culy Contracting for sewer cleaning and televising and Watson Excavating to replace 10 catch basins, two manholes and 200 feet of sanitary sewer line on Race and North streets between Pleasant and Middle streets.
Jones & Henry’s Brian Houghton recommended Culy Contracting to be approved for the sewer cleaning work for $16,600 and Watson Excavating for $48,800 for catch basin replacement.
Houghton said the sewer cleaning will begin Friday and replacing catch basins, manholes and sewer line will begin sometime in December.
