Pitts’ column is embarrassing
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Race baiting, FOX News hating, anti-gun left wing extremist Leonard Pitts does it again.
This time he is telling us that people who aren’t racist and say things that aren’t racist must be using “code words” that only real racist race baiters can actually see.
“Thus, Nixon had no need to curse unruly militants and longhairs. He simply spoke of ‘law and order.’”
It is strange that Pitt’s forgets to mention other “law and order” presidents like JFK or Bill Clinton. But then in liberal la-la-land only Republicans can be racist.
“Reagan didn’t call anyone a lazy N-word. He spoke of ‘welfare queens.’”
Of course there are and were many more white “welfare queens” than black so Reagan must have been a white hater also. And what about Clinton who signed welfare reform to end welfare as a career.
“The Bush’s didn’t have to slur gay people. They spoke of ‘family values.’”
It is apparently irrelevant that millions of Christian Americans actually do care about family values. But it is hard to convince a paranoid racist who is incapable of seeing anything except in terms of race.
Now he is pillorying liberal Republican Donald Trump for not defending Obama from a racist comment made by someone in Trump’s audience. Many love to see him correctly telling the political correctness police that it was not his place to defend the president.
Pitts is an embarrassment to all of the papers that print his nonsense.
