Market closed for 2015 season
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
The 2015 farmers’ market at Jay County Courthouse has closed for the season.
In spite of the lousiest gardening year in recent history, there were 22 vendors who showed up at Jay County Courthouse and some were there week after week. In addition to some outstanding produce, crafts and homemade items were plentiful.
Thanks to all who supplied all of the items and to the many loyal customers who have discovered the joy of “farm to table” products.
Thanks also to the Jay County Commissioners and the City of Portland for continuing to support and stand by this effort.
