Column glorified cursed lifestyle

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
About Leonard Pitts’ column Oct. 22, how can we put up with this journalist any longer?
Why does he give license to adultery and to a lifestyle plainly ruining the minds of men and all ages who read it? Mr. Pitts admitted, How sad his is over the announcement of Playboy’s decision to stop publishing nude photos of women. OK, they’ll be “scantily clad, but clad nevertheless.” Then, in a ridiculous comparison, says this is like if McDonalds would quit selling Big Macs or Disney would fire Mickey Mouse. And “I’ve been trying to figure out how I feel about the recent news.”
The truth be known about us men would reveal too many of us have fallen for the sin of the flesh. It’s difficult to overcome, just like other addictions. You are never satisfied. I’ve been there … done that.
However, I know the remedy. When the adulterous woman caught in the very act of adultery met our Lord Jesus Christ, He forgave her and told her to, “Got and sin no more.” There’s where the power is. The man Jesus died on Calvary’s cross and shed His blood for the sins of the whole world. His precious blood just did not forgive her of all her sins, but gave her power to keep her from sinning. Wow. This is not religion, this is Salvation, freedom from these filthy habits and chains of sins.
What a shame for this liberal journalist to be allowed to put such kind words in our newspaper about pornography. Filth. Giving a license to young women to sell their bodies into pages of prostitution. This is open lasciviousness and uncleanness and thank you, Playboy, for the proud plaques upon your Hall of Fame as you were the first “sophisticated” men’s magazine that opened up a revolution now “just a click away from every sex act imaginable for free.” Wow. What a proud and prestigious award.
How outlandish can you be to say that Playboy “is having trouble … being careful about what you wish for.” Sorry Mr. Pitts, Hugh Hefner and Hollywood in no way are having trouble with their undeniable success. That was the plan: To ruin to warp and totally destroy the minds and souls of men and youth. This is no accident. This is a premeditated blueprint drawn up by the devils of hell themselves.
How dare you, Mr. Pitts, try to slide by us readers another glorification of a lifestyle that is plainly a curse to families, children and teens. What the Lord God said was sin is still sin and you nor I can change it. This is what I recommend we all do: Repent, and turn from our wicked ways.
Jesus is Lord.
