Come visit the farmers’ market

To the editor:
The Portland Farmers’ Market is located at Jay County Courthouse on Saturday mornings.
A good growing season and lots of hard work by our vendors, has made this one of the best farmers’ markets ever. Several new vendors have managed to bring melons, sweet corn, green beans, zucchini, onions, tomatoes and more to market. In addition, baked goods, eggs, honey, maple syrup and crafts add to what is available.
Thanks go to the Jay County Commissioners and the City of Portland for their support of this “farm to fork” project. We encourage you to visit the Farmers’ Market and hope to see you there each Saturday.
