The Jay County High School volleyball team sent the Randolph Southern Rebels home in a hurry Monday, sweeping them off the court for a 25-9, 25-13, 25-11 victory.
The highlight of the evening came in the third game, with Patriot junior Chloe Trissel ripping off nine aces in a span of 12 points. Her run gave JCHS an 18-6 lead, and Kendal Garringer later closed the match with back-to-back aces.
Jay County rolled to the win despite having senior leader Abby Barcus sidelined after she had her wisdom teeth removed Saturday.
