Narcotic possession
A Portland man was arrested on drug-related charges Tuesday evening.
Thomas A. Emerick, 24, 2835 S. Southtown Place, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a syringe and possession of a narcotic drug, both Level 6 felonies. 
Emerick was booked at 10:07 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $4,500 bond.

Failure to register
A homeless Bluffton man was arrested Tuesday after failing to register as a sex offender.
Colton R. Martin, 26, was arrested on a preliminary charge of failure to register as a sex offender, a Level 6 felony.
Martin was booked at 6:34 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $6,000 bond.

Nonsupport
An Albany man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly failing to pay child support.
Andrew W. Thompson, 38, 9751 N. Sharpbend Road, was arrested on a preliminary charge of nonsupport of a dependent child, a Level 6 felony.
Thompson was booked at 3:19 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $1,000 bond.
