Felony arrests
Probation violation
An Oakville man and an Eaton, Ohio, woman were arrested Thursday for violating their probation.
Andrue J. Lear, 12660 Trails End, was arrested after being found in violation of his probation stemming from a previous charge of possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
He was booked at 3:08 p.m. into Jay County Jail and is being held there on a $800 cash bond.
Maureen F. Rivers, 28, 204 N. Maples, was arrested for violating the terms of her probation stemming from previous charges of possession of a controlled substance and theft.
She was booked at 1:31 p.m. into Jay County Jail and has since been released on a $1,000 bond.
Drug-related charges
Two rural Portland residents were arrested early this morning on multiple drug-related charges.
Michael S. Bingham, 28, 6769 W. 400 South, has been preliminarily charged with possession of heroin and unlawful possession of a syringe, both Level 6 felonies.
Chanelle Gierhart, 25, of the same address, was preliminarily charged for unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of cocaine, narcotics or methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
Bingham and Gierhart were booked shortly before 3 a.m. into Jay County Jail are being held there on bonds of $4,500.
