To the editor:
Portland and Jay County has an amazing, caring, loving and giving spirit.
The Portland Police Academy Alumni has lost one of our very own members following a long battle with cancer. A benefit was held last week in memory of Connie Laux.
Many of you attended the spaghetti dinner at the Lions Club building. Thank you.
If you were unable to attend but would still like to make a donation, a fund has been set up at First Merchants Bank.
Thank you to everyone who attended the spaghetti dinner and made a donation.
We would also like to thank those who made donations, including CrownPointe of Portland, Will’s IGA in Redkey and Wayne IGA in Fort Recovery.
