The 2015-16 basketball season marks the 10-year anniversary of the Jay County High School boys team making a run to the 2006 Class 3A state championship game. This is the ninth in a series of weekly looks back at that season.

A second-half leadslipped away as the Delta Eagles went on a 7-0 run and then hit 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute as Jay County lost 46-44. It marked the 10th straight win for Delta and the only time the Patriots would lose consecutive games all season after falling to Fort Recovery five days earlier.
Tyler Rigby and Zac Green each scored 11 points to lead the Patriots, and Rigby also had five assists.
Michael Capstick led the Delta comeback, scoring 12 of his game-high 17 points in the second half.
Feb. 11, 2006
Jay County scored 11 straight points after giving up the opening bucket and never trailed again in a 53-35 victory over the Tipton Blue Devils.
Rigby scored eight of the Patriots’ first 14 points and finished with a game-high 18. John Retter added 10 points.
Clint Muhlenkamp had eight points and seven rebounds, leading JCHS to a 31-16 advantage on the glass.
