The Jay County High School girls swim team successfully defended its Allen County Athletic Conference championship Saturday, scored 427 points to win by 29 over runner-up South Adams.
The Patriots broke five ACAC records, including individual marks for Alex Bader, Anne Vormohr, Sophie Bader and Heather Stinson, en route to their victory. Ashley Mark, Vormohr and the Bader sisters also shattered the previous ACAC best in the 200 freestyle relay.
The JCHS boys were third in the fourth team field behind Bluffton and South Adams.
