Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
On behalf of Youth Service Bureau, we have many to thank.
Our second-year event “Hogs ’n Suds” was a success through the support of the following: Delta Theta Tau, Elks Lodge #768, Lions Club of Portland, Loy Real Estate & Auctioneering, Jay County Beverage, J. B. Goodrich, Progressive Office Supply, The Flower Nook, Greazy Pickle, Pits Cocktail Lounge, Nancy Figel Memorial, Greg & Cindy Stewart Family, Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Bunch Properties LLC, MainSource Bank, First Bank of Berne, Williamson, Spencer &?Penrod Funeral Home, May Financial Groups, PHP, FCC Inc., Locker’s Touch of Country, Portland Insurance Agency, WPGW – Rob Weaver and John Boggs, AFLAC, Display Craft, Marsh Foods, Corle Insurance Agency, Farm Bureau Insurance and those who wish to remain anonymous for their sponsorships and contributions.
The following so generously provided auction items: Original Primitives, Lori Bantz and Tonne Winery, Winchester Golf Club, Jay Community Center, Cook’s Nursery, City of Portland, Portland Park Board, Members of City Council, Portland Water Park, Bollenbacher & Associates, True Value, Holiday Inn Express, NAPA, Moser Motors, Wright Way, Advanced Auto, Glass Bonsai, Sharlette’s Fudgery, El Camino, Jay County Therapeutics, Cincinnati Reds, Rachel Hamilton, Kerri Johnson, Salon Karma, Tease and Tangles, Barry, Ami & Maddox Huffman, Rebecca Rowles, Briskets & Butts, Patriot Sportswear, Jeff & Melissa Hall, Farmland Candy & Stuff Shop, Lehman & Bixler Eye Care, Studio 360 Photography, WZBD Radio/Tony & Cindy Giltner, Patriot Fitness, Pete’s Duck Inn, Between the Gate & the Fencepost, POET BIO Refining, Rob Weaver – WPGW, Jay County Beverage, Schmidt’s Chiropractic, Cindy Stewart, Country Creek Primitives, Delta Theta Tau, Jay County Fair Board, Roy Bunch, Strohl Appliance & Electronics and Display Craft.
Notably and respectfully, the staff members of YSB were participants in many ways, contributing auction items, selling tickets, requesting and picking up auction items, and behind-the-scenes activities that are so necessary to having a successful event. On behalf of the board, we are grateful.
To all who attended, we thank you. Without you, there is no event.

While last year’s event focused on residential services, the funds generated this year will be used to service clients in their homes that are provided through our home-based services, Community Partners for Child Safety, Healthy Families and Born to Learn.
With much gratitude,
Members of Delta Theta Tau
