God will win the fight against ISIS

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:
ISIS is an absolute evil mixed with atheists and leaders who claim to be Muslim and worship Allah.
ISIS is full of blood-thirsting foot soldiers who are backed by the oil fields of Arab wealth shouting Islamic slogans, installing fear into the world to free everyone to bow to their god and convert to Islam, the teachings of Muhammad.
Thousands of these people have “immigrated” to the United States and have offices in every state. And they’re still coming.
But the United States of America has 539,450 active Army personnel; 326,000 in the Navy; and 334,550 in the Air Force.
It doesn’t matter that President Obama is not being an effective anti-ISIS leader.
It doesn’t matter what happens next in Israel, in Iraq or in North Korea.
We don’t tell Jehovah how big that mountain is. We tell that mounting how big our God is.
Yes, it sounds impressive that America has all those soldiers, airplanes, helicopters, bombs and submarines. We need our president to protect us. He swore he would do that.
But, our help cometh from the Lord, who has made the heavens and the earth. And, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Hallelujah.
Who do we have to help us? Michael and Gabriel, the archangels, plus myriads and myriads of angels, though not seen, protect those what reverence and fear the Lord.
We also have the blessed Holy Ghost, the very person of Jehovah, in us, around us and helping us. Glory. He was there on the day of creation and He is still here in these tribulation days. He will never leave us alone.
We also have Jesus, the very God, the very man, Jehovah in the flesh, praying for us, interceding for us and forgiving us of all of our sins. In Jesus alone, not the church, in Jesus alone, not church leaders; He alone is the most powerful person in the world. Through His vicarious sacrifice on Calvary, He alone is our salvation.
Oh cheer up, ye saints of God. There’s nothing to worry about. There’s more with us than be with the enemy; we’re on the winning side, with banners unfurled will tell the whole world that Jesus is captain and guide. There’s naught to fear when He is near, though fierce the conflict may be, we’ll never give in our fight against sin, with Christ there’s victory.
God’s got this.
Sincerely,
Phill Jellison
