Focus for Pitts always on race

To the editor:
Race baiter Leonard Pitts is at it again.
This time he wants us to believe that Republicans oppose any Obama nomination to the Supreme Court because they are racist. Pitts is clearly unable to see any issue except in terms of race. Apparently he wants to take the lead in the Dems biennial campaign to scare minorities into voting Democratic by selling the “Big Lie” that Republicans are racist.
Given that the only moderate, impartial, neutral position on the Constitution and the law is that it means what it says, we have two moderate Justices, four extreme left wing Justices and two somewhere in between.
An extreme left wing Court invented a right to abortion that both sides know has no legitimate basis in the Constitution. This required Dems and their judges to side with that dishonest decision and created the great divide between the parties that has only gotten worse since then.
Obama replaced two extremists with extremists and didn’t change the balance on the Court. One more extremist will put many basic rights in danger.
The four leftist Justices are on record being in favor of letting Congress regulate political speech. They have declared that the Second Amendment is the only place in the Constitution where “the people” means the government and that only the government has a right to own firearms.
They have said that voter IDs are unconstitutional and they would undoubtedly support Obama’s unconstitutional imperial executive orders.
Their hilarious socialist candidate would do no better.
