Awards event was wonderful

To the editor:
It was an outstanding event.
The Jay County Chamber of Commerce is to be commended for its annual Community Awards Recognition Banquet.
The evening took a great deal of work and planning. It was obvious that those involved in the planning meant for it to be a very meaningful experience for all who were nominated for one of the awards.
I was honored to be nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Congratulations to Rob Weaver, who was the winner in the category.
My father always told me that it is our responsibility to make the place where we live and work better in some way. And each person nominated for one of the awards exemplified that philosophy.
Thanks Jay County Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful evening.
