Sheep pen committee says thanks

To the editor:
In September, the 4-H Sheep Pen Committee initiated a fund drive to raise money to replace the existing sheep pens at Jay County Fairgrounds.
The current pens are about 20 years old, beat up and rusted. They are finger-pinchers.
The goal was to raise the money needed to buy 48 new 5-foot-square pens for the 2016 4-H fair.
The committee has been deeply gratified by the response from the Jay County community. As we have seen so often, our Jay County community has gone above and beyond in support of its youth.
We are pleased to announce that we have exceeded our goal and ordered 52 pens that will be ready for the fair in July.
