Election carries huge importance

To the editor:
In response to your Oct. 26 editorial, I am ashamed of a few things about the Republican Party.
The first of those things is the party not supporting the candidate chosen by the people. They should remember: united we stand, divided we fall.
I am not ashamed of the man that Donald Trump has become. Granted, he isn’t a politician, to which I say, “thank God.” The political system has gotten so big and corrupt that Donald Trump is the only one who can give us any hope that we can make America what it once was.
Do I like what he has done in the past?
No. But I think he is a better man today. And as far as condemning him for his past sins, I would suggest you think back to past sins of some Democratic senators, representatives, presidents and others.
The Democratic Party seems to forget all that John Kennedy did. And it was covered up by the press.
They forget what Ted Kennedy did with a young girl who lost her life. And let’s not forget the “tarnishing” of The White House during Bill Clinton’s term.
And they don’t seem to be hearing what Hillary Clinton has been doing these past eight years. I call exposing the country’s national security to the world a crime.
This is not hearsay. It is facts shown in her emails, but for some reason they think if they keep lying about it, pretty soon everyone will believe her lies.
Now, I am not putting any party above the other. I am simply stating facts.
The Republican Party, or some in the Republican Party, have went along with the Democrats’ agenda instead of doing what the people elected them to do and that they said they would do. It is almost like we don’t have a two-party system anymore.
I do know from what Hillary has said that she will continue with what President Barack Obama has implemented. She will continue to give executive orders that bypass Congress, she will raise our taxes and she will implement a replacement for Obamacare with one that is worse. But worst of all, she will appoint very liberal judges to the Supreme Court.
All this is true, if you would just look it up for yourself. It came out of her own mouth.
So I say, you better elect Donald Trump, or it will be the last days for America as we have known America to be. The young people don’t remember what socialism and communism is like. We will lose all of our freedoms if you go that route. We need someone who will restore love of country, respect for those in authority and keeping our babies alive, not killing them, among other things.
I know this is pretty strong. But I encourage all people to look up the facts, don’t just believe everything you hear in the media and from other people.
My desire is to have a country that has some morals and makes God the number one priority in citizens’ lives, to show people kindness and show some mercy to those they condemn. Take time to think, “but for the grace of God go I.”
This election is the most important one, I think, in our lifetime. The survival of this country is at stake. And it is expedient that everyone exercise their precious right to vote.
That choice could be taken away from us if we don’t heed where we are headed in this country right now.
