Brice K. Widau, 24, Richmond, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor — Sentenced Oct. 12 to 30 days in Jay County Jail and given six days credit for three days already served. Widau began serving the remaining 24 days of his sentence on Oct. 12. He was assessed court costs of $183 and is ordered to pay a drug abuse, prosecution, interdiction and correction fee of $200.
Dawn M. Leugers, 49, Fort Recovery, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor —- Sentenced Oct. 12 to 60 days in Jay County Jail with all but six days suspended. She was given six days credit for three days already served. She was assessed court costs of $183.50 and is ordered to pay a Jay Superior Court Substance Abuse program fee of $400. Leugers must also pay an alcohol and drug countermeasures fee of $200.
As part of a plea agreement, a charge of operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent of 0.08 percent or more was dismissed. She was placed on probation for six months and the court recommends her license be suspended for 60 days.
Kyle P. Smith, 23, Portland, pleaded guilty to furnishing alcohol to a minor, a Class B misdemeanor — Sentenced to 180 days in Jay County Jail with 50 days suspended. Smith was given 50 days credit for 25 days already served. He was assessed $183 in court costs and placed on formal probation for six months.
