Sarah Walter slammed home an errant Woodlan pass Thursday, lifting the Jay County High School volleyball team to a five-game win over the visiting Warriors. The Patriots took the match 25-21, 19-25, 26-24, 25-27, 17-15.
The final point started with Abby Barcus catching Woodlan off guard with a short serve. Libero Cassidy Wiedenhoeft was able to keep it off the floor, but her pass attempt sailed long and over the net. Walter took advantage, ripping the winning kill passed a block attempt from Lauren Durkes.
