Elderly, Fort menus
LifeStream hosts a Senior Cafe at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St. in Portland. Meals are for those 60 and older and a $3.50 donation is suggested. To make a reservation, call (800) 589-1121.
Monday — Sliced roasted turkey with gravy, rye bread, whipped sweet potatoes, green beans with red peppers or chicken salad, wheat bread, confetti cole slaw, marinated carrot salad. Includes raisin cream cookie orsugar free graham crackers.
Tuesday — Swiss style beef steak, wheat roll, mashed potatoes, broccoli cuts or chicken chef salad, wheat crackers, spinach/romaine greens, beet and mandarin orange salad. Includes fresh fruit.
Wednesday — Barbecue chicken, wheat bread, ranch beans, carrot raisin salad or tuna salad, crackers, garden green salad, broccoli raisin salad. Includes pineapple crisp.
Thursday — Ham and beans, cornbread, steamed spinach, carrots or Italian sandwich, multi-grain bread, lettuce/tomato/pickle, tri-color bean salad.
The following is the menu for Fort Recovery Middle School for the week of April 17. All meals are served with milk.
Monday — No school.
Tuesday — Sloppy Jo sandwich, green peppers, tater tots, pears.
Wednesday — Chili soup, crackers, butter bread, cheese stick, carrots, applesauce cup.
Thursday — Grilled chicken sandwich, lettuce/tomato, corn, apple slices.
Friday — Stuff crust pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, pineapple.
